Sony has launched  Countdown Timer app for SmartBand Talk SWR30 at PlayStore  If you are SmartBand Talk user you can try it today.
Using Countdown Timer app you can set timer and SmartBand Talk rings and vibrate when time is up.Countdown Timer app needs Android 4.4 kitkat running on your device. It gets intergrated with Sony SmartBand Talk app once installed.

New updates land for the Xperia M2

Sony Xperia M2 is currently seeing its firmware updated across its different variants. The LTE variants of the Xperia M2 (D2303) and M2 Aqua (D2403) has been updated to the build number 18.3.1.C.1.13

Xperia M2 Dual (D2302) has seen build number 18.3.1.B.1.8 roll for those in Saudi Arabia, whilist version 18.3.1.B.0.18 is rolling to a number of regions across Europe and Asia.

The D2305 variant of Xperia M2 has seen build number 18.3.1.A.0.21 roll to Latin America, USA, Thailand, Vietnam, Ukraine and singapore. In addition, firmware build 18.3.1.A.1.7 was recently Certified for this 2305 variant.

Instructions:

4. Flash the .230 kernel.ftf

6. Install Towelroot and click Make it.. Need Mobile data to root
7. Install SuperSu from playstore and Reboot.
8  Update Supersu Binaries.
9. Go Back to flash mode nd Flash .283 or .292 kernel

Tweaks for 2G/3G/Wifi Speed Improvement Z series

 Problem on the 2G (Edge) / 3G / Wifi connection ?
HSPA/HSDPA was fine, but the 2G connection was virtually non-existent.
I always get page time outs and no indication of loading, no matter what app or browser i use.

i was forced to leave the network settings to wcdma only. however,
 this is not practical since once i get to 2G only location (yes, those places still exist )
i lose all signal until i set network to wcdma/gsm or gsm only.

So after a few days experimenting with the build.prop,
if any of you guys have the same problem or want to boost your 2G/3G connections,
